Foreign investments in the regional economy in the 1st quarter of 2006 amounted to $25, 5 mln.

Foreign investments in the regional economy in the 1st quarter of year 2006 amounted to $ 25,5 mln. This information was provided by Ludmila Zykova, Head of Statistics Analyses Dep. of Nizhegorodstat at the press-conference summarizing the results of the regional socio-economic development.

According to L. Zykova, there is almost twofold increase in the amount of the foreign investments as compared to the analogue period of the previous year - growth index is 194.7 %.

Within the general structure of capital inflow, 41 % of investments come from Turkey, 17, 6 - from Netherlands, 10, 6 - from Germany and 10, 4 - from Cyprus.
