Swedish mission to Nizhny Novgorod

On November, 24 the Swedish Center in Nizhny Novgorod (Semashko street, 5-Á) was hosting a meeting of local businessmen with management of seven Swedish companies - "SWERIC AB", "BODAFORS TRA", "HAGS ANEBY AB", "EKENAS TIMBER AB", "C&D SNICKERI", "RH FORM AB", "KGM AB", and representative of the Chamber of Commerce of Mariannelund. The aim of the meeting was acquaintance with potential business partners for future co-operation in timber industry, manufacturing and sales of furniture and sports equipment. The meeting was attended by Mr. Stefan Gullgren, Trade Counsellor, Minister of the Embassy of Sweden in Moscow and Kristina Johannesson, 1st Secretary of the Embassy.

Mr. Stefan Gullgren addressed the audience with opening speech. On behalf of the Embassy he signified satisfaction with successful development of Russian-Swedish business contacts and thanked Swedish Center for contributing and assistance.

General Director of the Swedish Centers network in Volga region Mr. Kenneth Hulth introduced the members of the Swedish delegation and informed the audience on the purpose of the visit.

Guests from Sweden made presentation of their companies, told the audience about their plans for the future and advanced their offers for local entrepreneurs.

After a short break the meeting continued in the form of bilateral negotiations. Swedish and Russian businessmen with the aid of the Swedish Center employees used the opportunity to make acquaintances and discuss possible variants of future co-operation.

After the meeting Swedish delegation visited the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University. In the evening Swedish guests left for Moscow.
