The Arzamas Instrument Factory was founded in line with the Ministry of aircraft industry decree in 1957. In 1958 the factory started to operate with production of simple aircraft and consumption control instruments. In 1993 the factory was organised in OAO Arzamas Instrument Factory.
Since 1997 the company is directly subordinate to the Department of aviation and space industry of the Ministry of Economy of RF.

The Main Types of Products with Brief Performance Data.

— Pickup of mass air consumption (DMRB) designed for operation in the control systems of internal combustion engines in combination with micro-processor of fuel injection. It is distinguished from its foreign-made analogues by availability of polarity reversal protection, short circuit protection in the information busbar, stabilised (independent from power supply and temperature) burning-through, a large diameter of platinum wire which provides better reliability.
— Instrument of crane security ONK-MP-140 insures protection for motor, caterpillar, tower and rail cranes as well as pipe layers from capsizing during load lifting, protection of crane mechanisms from damages caused by overloads and collisions with obstacles, including collisions with electric power lines.
— Cold and warm water meters designed for individual water consumers by changing a flow volume of drinking and warm water. The meters consists of a primary impeller or turbine converter and of an isolated from the metered medium counting mechanism with signal asterisk designed to increase the resolution of the meter while carrying out a graduation;
— Gas meters (SG) designed to measure the volumes of smooth flow changes of purified, non-aggressive single and malti-component gases (natural gas, air, nitrogen, argon and other gases with density under normal conditions not less than 0.67 kg/m3) with their application in industrial units and public utility facilities and for metering of gas flow volume for commercial transactions;
— Heat meter (TS-06) designed for metering, registration of heat parameters in open and closed systems of heat supply in full compliance with the Regulations of Heat Energy and Heat Carrier Metering decreed by the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of RF dated 12.09.95. The TC-06 heat meter allows to check the consumption of the heat energy simultaneously with warm water supply and sewage waters in the pressure pipe lines.
The meter carries out self-diagnostics, identifies any malfunctions in operation of warm water supply systems and provides a simple adaptation of the parameters of metering taking into account the specific features of the heat supply networks, metering units;
— ETS-MO1 - portable Ultrasonic unit with angle mechanical scanning. The unit designed for obtaining two-dimension echograms of abdomen and small pelvis organs. It is used for diagnosis of liver diseases, in urology, paediatrics, cardiology, obstetrics and gynaecology.
— Stomotalogic tips designed for carrying out therapeutic and orthopaedic operations in stomatology, including of removal of tooth stones, tooth cleaning. Pneumatic and electric micro-motors and compressors for dentist drilling units.
