Hydromash, an open joint-stock company, has its history which goes back to 1805. To-day it is a major firm in Russia in the area of production of hydraulic units for the aircraft and other industries.
The firm has preserved and develops further its main specialisation focused on design development, production and testing of landing gear and hydraulic units for aircraft. OAO Hydromash is involved in development and production of landing gear actually for all new types of aeroplanes and helicopters. SU-27K, SU-27UBK, SU-30, SU-34, SU-30MK, Su-30MKI, MiG-29, MiG-29K, MiG-31. Tu-334, A-40, Be-200, An-38, An-70, Il-114, Yak-130, Ka-50, Mi-38 have considerable export potential and are considered to be the future of aviation.
In addition to the traditional partnership with the Russian aircraft producers, starting from 1991 OAO Hydromash has been involved in co-operation projects with the most well-known Western companies - Airbus Industry, Messier-Dauty, Ferchald-Dornier, Liebherr Airspace, British Airspace.
Thanks to its success in the Western market OAO Hydromash has obtained a confirmation of the certificate from the official supplier of the German airspace industry Ferchald-Dornier. At the same time the relentless efforts to ensure the quality have allowed the company to obtain a quality certificate in line with EN ISO 9001 quality requirements of DASA-ZERT.
Having coped with the competition in the world market and maintaining a leadership in its industry OAO Hydromash by 1999 has substantially enhanced its production output and sales volumes. In 2001 the share of the exported products took 60-70%.
While doing so, the firm does not only operate as a supplier but it is also a developer of aircraft equipment for the foreign partners.
OAO Hydromash continues to expand its market borders and keeping its high quality mark it widens the range of produced items.
