Zavod imeni Sverdlova Federal enterprise celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2006.

The plant is in the presidential list of the strategic enterprises of the country. It is a large, diversified complex that comprises:

1. Production of explosives and ammunition filling.
Some of the techniques of producing explosives are unique, and sometimes, the only ones in Russia.

2. Chemical production. Is represented by the manufacture of a wide range of household and industrial chemical products: epoxy resin, phenolformaldehyne resin, plasticizers, hardeners, nitrobenzene, sulphanole, acetic anhydride, various cleaners and detergents and other products.

3. Metal engineering unit manufactures various non-standard equipment, aluminium products, domestic equipment: «Oka» washing machines – the most famous brand in Russia, «Oka» electric water heaters.
