The company was set up in 1993 following re-organisation of the Buturlino state-owned dairy built in 1977.

The main area of the company operation is milk processing. The Buturlino dairy produces:

• krestaynskoye butter ( unpacked );
• sour cream in churns ( 20 - 25 % of fat content);
• peasant cheese with low fat content ( unpacked);
• backed butter (unpacked);
• non-fat cheese.
