Velon, the Nizhny Novgorod bicycle factory, is a branch of OAO GAZ. It started as one of a workshop of the automobile plant and accumulated great experience and developed good traditions in production of bicycles for children, teenagers and adults. At present the company produces 9 bicycle models: Shkolnik, Unior, Lama, Lama-Lux, Kaskad, Kaskad-Lux, Pony, Kuzia - a two-wheel bicycle with pneumatic tires for children of 3 - 6 years of age. In the nearest future the company is planning to produce three-wheel bicycles for small kids and multi-speed bicycles for adults with 3 to 21 gears. In addition to the main products the factory producers garden water sprayers and sledges.
