Since 1991 ZAO Nizhegorodskye Infromazionii Seti has been operation in the area of high quality telecommunications, computer network technologies and it is involved in development of the city primary telecommunications network.

The major investment project - the city integrated telecommunications network (GITS) of Nizhny Novgorod - it is 220 km of fibre-optical telecommunication lines and a high speed ( 155 Mbit/sec and more ) digital network, allowing to transmit any type of information ( voice, data, video ). This opportunity is provided by the application of modern technologies of asyncronized data transfer (ATM). In particular this technology allows to combine various types of computer networks of the city companies and organisations in a single network and to provide a high speed access to INTERNET.
