The Seymovskaya Poultry Factory, an open joint-stock-company, was commissioned in 1964. At present the factory is a leading poultry producer not only in the Nizhny Novgorod province but in the Russian Federation as well. The gross output amounts to: eggs - over 200 mln pcs p.a., poultry - 1 500 tonnes, productivity - 280 eggs per each hatching hen. The turn-over of sold goods in 1996 - 106 bln roubles, profit - 23 bln roubles. In addition, the factory keeps 500 heads of cattle which yield 5 000 litres of milk in average from each cow.

The factory has cultivated land area of 4 000 ha, including 2 500 of plough field. Each year the factory produces about 4 00 tonnes of egg meal, using foreign-made equipment. The product meets the European standard requirements.

The firm has developed a production of poultry half-finished products: chicken legs and breasts, minced poultry meat, sub-products mix. In addition, a wide range of highly demanded canned food, sausages and smoked meat is available for consumers.
From year to year the company is augmenting its wholesale and retail sales volume. It runs successfully a chain of 20 company retail outlets and wholesale bases.
