Citron, a production and commercial company, was created in 1991 and structured as an amalgamation with multiple areas of operation. One of the main area since 1992 is a production of food packages from stiff PVC films by vacuum moulding. The company created its own design office for technology development of vacuum moulding equipment with their subsequent production at an experimental plant and running in production lines. During three years the company progressed from vacuum moulding machines of low efficiency and hand labour to semi-automatic lines with robot technology elements.

Citron has own production facilities with 1, 000 m2 of industrial space for production of food packages. The basic product is correx. The correx is produced and delivered on contractual basis to: Russia Chocolate and Confectionery Factory (Samara), AOOT Babayevskoye, AO Konditer (Nizhny Novgorod), AO Krasny Oktyabr (Moscow), Rot Front (Moscow), AO Volzhanka (Ulyanovsk), etc.

In addition the enterprise produces cake, tart and ice-cream packages ordered by Nizhny Novgorod confectioners and packages for souvenirs (Semenovo matryoshka dolls, glass sets).

In 1996 the company is planning to produce polystyrene packages and equipment development for honeycombed packages. A further objective is to develop mini-factories for other forms of package production.

Citron is seeking business contacts with package consumers and package equipment and material producers (PVC, A and B — PET, polystyrene).
