Gorodez Shipyard was founded in 1918 as a merger of small-size ship-building workshops. In 1948 the shipyard started bringing in the technology of concrete ship-building. From that time on the shipyard was building for the needs of the people’s industry: landing stages, floating restaurants, floating warehouses, testing stands, fish freezers, different floating wharfs and composite repair docks of 2.5; 4.5 and 15t capacity.

The shipyard is the only in Russia that specializes in production of composite docks and ferroconcrete wharfs.

In co-operation with Monolit, a central design office, the shipyard takes advantage of this unique shipbuilding technology, has experienced personnel and equipped with all required production facilities.

Starting from the middle of the 1960s, the shipyard is specialized on building of technically and design complicated ferroconcrete floating means.

At the moment the shipyard is building:
— floating repair docks with capacity of 500 — 1000t;
— floating wharfs and modules for stationary wharfs for mooring of the ships up to 45 000t of displacement with water level fluctuation within 6m; — hotels, garages, floating wharfs and ships for water tourism and holidays.

The vessels are delivered in hulls made of high resistance concrete and steel. AOOT Gorodez Shipyard produces consumer goods: furniture for kitchen and halls, wooden rowing boats, metal articles. AOOT Gorodez Shipyard offers the following services: ship repairs, cargo road transportation, manufacturing of concrete and ferroconcrete constructions.
