The Company Profile
On October 9, 1950 The Council of Ministers of the USSR passed a resolution to start a construction in Kstovo district of Nizhny Novgorod province of a large-scale oil refinery. On August 23. 1958 the Novogorkovsky oil refinery shipped the fist trainload of petrol. The enterprise started its output of marketable products. Today AO Norsi is one of the biggest enterprise of oil refining and petrochemical industries. This is a major network of refineries, specialized administrations, public utilities services, cultural and social institutions.

AO Norsi is involved in production of over 140 types of products: petrol, aircraft kerosene, diesel fuel, various types of oils and a wide range of consumer goods. The list of goods keeps getting longer. In 1995 the company started the production of NORSI-SUPER motor oil and AI-80 clear petrol.

The enterprise delivers to 13 major regions of Russia, provides 16% of the total industrial output of Nizhny Novgorod province and 39% of the province exports. The raw materials are supplied from the oilfields Tumen, Tatariam Udmurtia. The company has a number of regular production partners: Megionneftegaz, LUKoil, Langepasneftegaz, Tatneft, Udmurtneft, Yuganskneftegaz, Varvegan.

On September 1, 1995 AO Norsi joined NORSI OIL, an oil company, thus extending the scope of sales. The company also provides linkages between oil selling organisations of Nizhny Novgord and Vladimir provinces and Mary-El and Udmurtia.

The Norsi products are steadily winning the international market. The Norsi brand is a sign of a high quality which is proved by the company honours of the Golden Star of Quality and the International Europian Golden Arc awarded for a success in corporate image development and outstanding quality.

Many of Norsi products have quality certificates issued by the world leaders. NORSI-SUPER lub oil, for example, is listed in the Mercedes silver book. Norsi displays strong commitment in extending its cooperation with foreign partners.

The company has signed a contract with Litvin, an American firm, for delivery of equipment and installation of a catalyst reforming unit with a continuous catalyst regeneration. AO Norsi starts a construction of a KT deep refinery complex jointly with Foster Willer, a multinational engineering company, which will enable to increase the depth of oil refining.

The Main Types of Products Petrols, diesel fuels, lub oils, various types of kerosene. Industrial oils, TP-30 turbine oils, transformer oils, motor oils transmission oils, oil-dielectric , MDPE plunger pumps oil, oil-plastificator, oil-softner. Cable coupling filling agents, bitumen, toluen, silvent, acid, industrial sulphuric acid, additives, liquid hydrocarbon gas for public utilities, ethylene, propylene, perolese C9 liquid products fraction — for petropolymers production, propane-propylene fraction, bitumen rubber mastic. Motor oils: SAE 30 CD (type M-10D), is subject of free certification, M6/12 G1, SAE 10W/30 (M-53/12G), SAE 10W/40, SAE 15W/40, NORSI-SUPER, SAE 15W/30 — all oils are certified. Transmission oils: SAE 85W/90 (analogue of TAD 17I) — all oil are certified. Lubrication oil: MGD 14M (a) — is subject to certification. Autocosmetics — MPT-m cleaning liquid, glass cleaner, MOKS-3 autoshampoo, oil solvent, locks and glass defrosters, MVPU mastic, household basins, polymer containers. Additives: Avtomag, Friktol-NP. Wax candles: different types.
