Volga, a commercial local TV company, went on the air for the first time on January 1, 1993. Telecasting area: Nizhny Novgorod and Nizhny Novgorod province. Telecasting channel — 7 in a meter band.

TK Volga is the only local TV company which has:
— daily telecasting from 7.00 to 01.00 hrs;
— its own telecasting channel ( frequency licence);
— daily direct air.
Volga presents every day:
— 4 feature films;
— 9 issues of TV news with Poslesloviye( Afterword ), an analytical programme:
— music, popular science, information, economic, sport and children programmes.

TK Volga is cooperating with TV-Moskva, an independent Moscow broadcasting company, Russkoye Video (Russian Video), a film company, Superchannel, Gosteleradiofond, Videofilm Distr. Corporation and many others. TK Volga commercial service provides:
