The Company Profile
With an objective to develop the Volgo-Vyatsky industrial region of Russia it was decided to create a specialized mechanic-installation trust — Volgoneftekhimmontazh. Today it is a closed joint-stock company — AO Volgoeftechimmontazh. The company assets are evaluated in USD 45m, including production facilities of USD 37m-worth. The company is totally private-run.

The firm employs over 4, 000 qualified specialists. It operates more than 700 pieces of engineering, installation machinery and motor vehicles.

The firm has 30 years of experience in construction of technically complicated and important engineering objects in many regions of the former Soviet Union, the company personnel had completed contract assignments in the Eastern European countries, Asia, Africa and Latin America. The company is validated by the Lloyd Register within the international standards for all types of welding.

Volgoneftekhimmontaz for its operation effectiveness was awarded in 1995 with the Torch of Birmingham, an international golden prize, by a decision of the International Business and Management Academy committee and the International Institute of Finance and Cooperation of the American People’s Diplomacy Project. The firm is a member of the International Business and Management Academy. The company has won the status of the Leader of the Russian Economy and it is listed among 5 000 leading enterprises in Russia for 1995.

The company capital provides the operation of 14 firms with various forms of ownership located in the industrial centres of Volgo-Vyatsky region.

Over the past years the firm has completed the installation of technology equipment, piping, metalwork at all newly built and redesigned objects of Volgo-Vyatsky region including: Gorky Automobile plant, Dzerzhinsk chemical enterprises, Kstovo oil refineries, gas and oil compressor stations for transit pipe lines, etc.

The firm has a long experience of cooperation in construction and installation of industrial objects with foreign companies: Nippon Steel Corporation (Japan), Salzgitter (Germany), Snamprojeti (Italy), Thechnip (France) and others.

Recently Volgoneftekhimmontazh together with EkOil, a financial and industrial centre, and

BIG-Industriatechnik, an Austrian company, have created JV Velox-Volga for production in Russia totally new construction materials and technologies for housing and civil construction in Nizhny Novgorod province.

Today the company is involved in development of a number of turn-key investment projects with an input of foreign capital in Nizhny Novgorod province and in other regions.

The company completes investments projects in full scope i.e. from project development to commissioning.
