Verchnevolzhskoye Air Geodetic Enterprise (VAGP) is operating in Nizhny Novgorod province for 25 years. Started as Expedition 125 with the Verkhnevolzhsky territorial centre (VGZ) with a subsequent reorganization to VAGP — these are the stages of the enterprise progress. A momentary look cast over the enterprise activities is suffice to appreciate their vital nature for the Volgo-Vyatka region.

The Main Types of Activities
— topographic survey on 1:500—1:10 000 scales;
— creation and restoration of geodetic networks;
— compilation and publishing of plans and maps on 1:2 000—1: 50 000 scales;
— high quality engineer and geodetic measurements;
— noncontact photo-grametric measurement of architectural monuments and buildings;
— supply of topographic maps on 1:10 000 — 1:1 000 000 scales, plans of populated areas on 1:2 000—1:25 000 scales as per customer requests;
— enlarging and reducing of topographic maps to any assigned scale;
— production of maps for public needs;
— layout development of construction grids, land plots boundaries identification;
— repair and certification of geodetic instruments;
— restoration and publishing of old maps and atlases;
— surveys;
— compilation of thematic maps and plans, including digital versions;
— development of school maps, atlases, blank maps;
— creation of data networks.

To achieve the objectives VAGP is using the latest technologies, including space technologies. VAGP branches can be found in Dzerzhninsk, Ivanovo, Kostroma and Kirov.
