Kurs N weekly, founded by the province and city property committees and funds, published its first issue in January 1993 in 8 pages. Initially a coverage of privatisation progress was the top and the only topic of the weekly. Process of shaping of environment for a new economy development provided the weekly with new content and since June 1994 it bears the name Kurs N.

Now the weekly founders are:
— Committee for property control of Nizhny Novgorod province;
— Committee of property control of Nizhny Novgorod;
— Property fund of Nizhny Novgorod province;
— Vostok, a investment and finance company;
— Nizhny Novgorod Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The weekly subscribers and readers are business circles of Nizhny Novgorod province. Since October 1996 an electronic version of the weekly is available in Internet. Kurs N offers popular columns: Industry, Securities Market, Small Business, Banks, Real Estate, Budget and Taxes, Law and Business, etc. Kurs N it is a complete package of documents issued on sale of state property and property control, real estate transaction licensing, territorial industrial zones. In 1997 Kurs N weekly is to be issued in 24-page format.
