The confectionery was founded in 1993 within the local food production factory. In 1993 the firm was privatised and the confectionery was re-organised in an open joint-stock company registered under the name “Konditer”. The number of employees on the payroll - 510.

Since the date of the distribution of shares in 1993 to 1995 the company built a trading centre, health care and recreation centre, every day services centre, health care is arranged. Two new work shops are put into operation. The firm augmented its production facilities which allowed to provide the output of 6 500 tonnes p.a. The range of produced goods: cakes, biscuits, wafers, toffees, sweets, wafer and biscuit tarts, fancy cakes. The output includes 80 brands. The products are delivered to trading firms of the town and the province and beyond. The company runs a chain 11 retail outlets located in the town and province.
