Lindovsky sovkhoz was founded in 1992 as a merger of two kolkhozes - Pravda and Linda. In 1984 it was transferred from the agricultural production administration of Bor district of the Nizhny Novgorod province to Ptizeprom, a poultry production system, where together with other poultry factories it was included in Lindovskoye broiler breading amalgamation headed by the general director, a Merited Zootechnician of the Russian Federation G.K. Elbert. In 1993 the sovkhoz was reorganised in a joint-stock company. In March 1993 the sovkhoz was transformed into the Lindovsky pedigree cattle farm involved in rearing of livestock of the black-motley strains. Since March 1994 the firm is a member of the Pedigree Farms Association of RF.
Since 1994 the farm is involved in production of potato seeds.
In the plant-growing area the firm is involved in production of elite potato seeds, planting and growing of new high productivity potato sorts with application of the ecology safe, energy saving, wide furrow technologies - 90 - 140 cm between furrows. By the beginning of 1997 the farm has 4 945 ha of cultivated land, including field - 3 559 ha, hay meadows - 286 ha, pastures - 1 081 ha.
The number of employees on the payroll by the beginning of 1997 - 312.
