Formerly known as the Ulyanov-Lenin Plant, Chkalovsk Shipyard Joint-Stock Company has a long tradition of ship building and ship repairing that dates back to 1883.

The company is part of the Russian industrial concern, Rosrechflot. The shipyard is situated on the river Volga and has a current workforce of 1000.

Chkalovsk Shipyard Joint-Stock Company possesses technological expertise in the design, construction and repair of:
— hydraulic dredgers with a capacity of 500 cubic meters per hour;
— sell-propelled barges with carrying capacity of 220 tonnes;
— non-self-propelled automatic unloading barges with opening half hulls;
— 380 kW push-barges;
— small passenger catamarans for 50-100 people;
— ground liner;
— ship equipment, KVD-G compressor, whinches, pumps etc;
— cast iron and bronze moulding;
— equipment for asphalt and concrete production plants;
— cast iron man-holes and covers for inspection pits and replacement and spare knives for graders.

The company’s products are sold in Russia and Eastern European countries.
